REMINDERS

  1. Guests / Visitors: Please give careful consideration to the number of guests you invite to the campground, as this can put a strain on our facilities and our water supply. Seasonal campers had over 150 guests visiting them for the Memorial Weekend and about 200 visitors for the 4th of July weekend. Many of you had 5 or more! In order for us to recover the extra costs incurred there will be a FEE for visitors on Labor Day weekend. Also - please remember to always have your visitors stop at the office to obtain a vehicle pass. Even if you are in their car, you must still stop for a pass - all vehicles that enter the park must display camground identification. This is for everyone’s security.
  2. Boat Parking Area: Please park empty boat trailers and box trailers under the trees on the lower side of the Boat Parking area, or on your site - not in the prime boat parking spots.
  3. For golf cart owners: Please note that the one trail in the “P Section” that leads to the tenting sites is CLOSED to Golf Carts. (You will see signs that identify this path). People who tent in these sites are looking for privacy and do not like golf carts running up and down the trail in front of their sites. Thank you for your consideration.
  4. Garbage: There are 3 dumpsters at the campground. We frequently find the two by the bathhouse are overflowing while the one by the office is empty! We think some people may not be aware that the office dumpster is available for camper use.

CAMP DIRECTOR

Please welcome our new Camp Director, Rick Focht and his wife Susie. Rick will be assisting with many duties at the campground this season, including social activities, guest arrivals, and office coverage. Rick and Susie are from the Huntingdon area, and have camped across the U.S. for the last 14 years. Previously, Rick served as General Manager for 5 years while residing as a seasonal camper at Greene Hills RV Park in Barree, PA. During the winter, Rick and Susie live in their motor home in Key West, Florida. Rick is a retired Army NCO, and also a PGA golf pro. He plays out of Key West, and the Brickyard Plantation Resort at Americus, GA. Susie works as a cook at Greene Hills, which is a Christian campground.
